48. Coupled beam and combined boundary conditions on a rotated beam

This test covers solid-to-beam couplings and combination of the different boundary conditions on a beam that is not aligned with any of the cartesian axes.

Geometry and setup

This test uses geometry 16 straight beam with center patches rotated so that its axis is along the direction (1,1,-1).

Load cases

  • LC01_2xForce_RM: 2x Forces, equal and opposite, no resultant force but does give a moment

  • LC02_2xForce_RF: 2x Forces, gives resultant force but does not give a moment

  • LC03_Force+Moment: lx Force and lx Moment, gives resultant force but no moment

  • LC04_2xMoment: 2x moments, equal and opposite, giving no resultant moment

  • LC05_Force+Pressure: lx Pressure and lx Force, no resultant force but does give moment

  • LC06_Force+Pressure: lx Pressure and lx Force, resultant force but no resultant moment

  • LC07_Force+Moment+Pressure: lx Pressure, lx Force and lx moment, no resultant force and moment

  • LC08_VolForce+Acceleration: lx Volume Force (VF) and opposing lx Acceleration (VF/m): no resultant force and moment
