6. Volume force

This test covers volume (total) forces and ensures it is correctly applied to a solid beam. Global quantities, reaction forces and superposition are analysed.

Geometry and setup

This test uses geometry 10 square straight beam aligned with x-axis.

Load cases

  • LC1_vol_force_1_0_0: single volume force, along (1,0,0)

  • LC2_vol_force_0_1_0: single volume force, along (0,1,0)

  • LC3_vol_force_0_0_1: single volume force, along (0,0,1)

  • LC4_vol_force_1_0_1: single volume force, along (1,0,1)

  • LC5_vol_force_1_1_1: single volume force, along (1,1,1)

  • LC6_vol_force_1+1+1: three volume force conditions, along (1,0,0), (0,1,0), and (0,0,1)
